We have looked at how far you’d be able to go if you filled your tank up with £50 worth of petrol and diesel in 29 different countries to find out where you can travel the furthest and get the best value for money.

To put the above graphic into perspective we found the average fuel consumption of a petrol and diesel Ford Focus Hatchback from 2011. £50 worth of petrol in Bulgaria would get you an impressive 210 miles more than if you filled up in Norway. You could get from London to Manchester with those extra miles!
The UK is the 11th most expensive for petrol, taking you 459 miles on £50, and is 5th most expensive for diesel, which takes you just 657 miles, compared to Luxembourg's 906 miles.
